November 2008 Monthly Forecast

Summary of the Month

The month is divided into 3 unequal and very different energies this month.  The month begins in a nexus, the most intense nexus of the year.  That lasts until the morning of the 5th.  The energy pivots towards using your emotional center to stabilize your life.  There will be peaks and valleys, shifts left and right until the 19^th.  There we have another nexus, albeit a quick 12 hour one.  The next shift is towards a stable, complete sail through the emotional center seeking the ability to bond with other. That lasts well into January with some additional pivots in December.

This is the granddaddy of all nexuses.   The planet shifts towards a more progressive political path.  Old ways are shed and new, stronger ones come in to replace them. Imagine the planet normally goes straight ahead.  Nexuses cause shifts away from straight ahead. The really intense ones shift 90 degrees, directly sideways.  These are events like a volcano exploding, having a crippling earthquake and so on. Some kind of event that produces a mass die-off is a 90 degree pivot. This nexus then, at 50 degrees, is pretty strong.

This is a major pivot. Imagine the change when Kennedy or FDR became President.  Shifts like that are comparable to this nexus. The turning creates energy stress as we also gain power from raising the soul age of the whole country.  The volume gets turned up all around you and then fluctuates until the 19^th.

The 19^th brings a change towards stable, smooth bonding.  While there are changes in December, it really is much like the rest of this month.  That brings you emotional peace and an urge to merge with other humans and their groups. Get out and try some new stuff, meet some people. Shop if you want to, start on Christmas shopping if that timing makes sense for you. Self-examine. Gandhi said “Be the change you want to see in the world.”  We like that and it really fits for the rest of the year.

Monthly Focal Points

Wow, what a nexus this is.  It really changes the planet in profound ways.  First, this is the largest nexus of the year.  It is the largest nexus in many years.  It starts on the 30^th and stretches now into the 5^th of November.  The size of it means many parallels will feel the pull of the change happening. This parallel is a bit “left of center” on that continuum. On a scale of 1 to 10, you are now a bit above 7.  The energy here will be high for many weeks.

So what happens at this nexus is that many parallels actually twist together and have an increase in the overall energy of all those parallels.  The frequency also goes up.  Things will get faster.  That REALLY kicks in next year.  But the effect will be noticeable right away.  It may feel from time to time like a g force enhancing ride at the amusement park. After the nexus, we emerge into a cleaner space.  Old systems will be discarded, starting with the current President.  That melts away the power any discarded system holds and has.  It becomes quickly impossible to have many old power brokers do anything of lasting significance.  Not that things won’t happen, just that whatever it is gets over-ridden early next year.

But this nexus is bigger than that.  This is like the shift in 1960 or 1932 in the US.  We will make a major pivot now.  The world will see this as a watershed time as we make tremendous gains in the next 4 years.  This ripples across the globe.  It may seem a bit surreal at first, like the way a place feels after a really good rainstorm overnight.

And then, this nexus is even bigger than that.  We are moving the US up into full mature soul mode.  They join Europe and other pockets at the same level.  Since the US is the predominant energy in these parallels, it is the tide turner.  This place is where we look back even centuries from now and see where the world changed permanently. Yeah, it is that big.

There is an Inuit lesson about how the young male baby bears hang onto the Father bear as long as they can until the father can no longer manage the weight.  When that happens, the young bears gain respect and know that eventually they will become the father bears and that their father will fade away.  The US is in that spot.  It will not continue to be the sole dominant player in the world. Europe must be respected and Asia is right behind them.

What we have now is the conversion of the political machine always using war as a tool of growth and conquest.  Now the political world merges with the economic world.  War won’t work anymore.  You just cannot afford to deplete resources like that.  Ask Iraqis.  Yes, they are free, but lost tremendously in the economic arena.  They had influence on world oil prices. Now, they have none.  Their Gross National Product is down over 50%.  They have to rebuild existing infrastructure for years rather than train and grow their citizens.

That makes wars too expensive fairly soon.  We really see war ending by year 2100. The planet will be over it.  Now, at the ever increasing pace we are going to have, that will be a long time if you are living it.  But in the course of human events, this is a major growth period.  You are 99% of the way through all the wars you will have.

That is how big the nexus is.  It may take you a few months or years to really appreciate the size of the shift as we said earlier; this is about a 50 degree course change. You are in the parallels where Bush won twice, those account for less than 22% of all parallels that were available in 2000.  This parallel went more toward the right than most.  It is more conservative than most in the parallels where Bush won twice.  That is a fairly big shift to the conservative side.  You in this parallel want to balance that and then some in less than 4 years, possibly 3. Plus you add in the shift to mature soul deepening being thrown in and the shift to using economics and not armies as your weapons and you have some change coming.

But that only addresses the 1st to the 5^th. Now the planet surges and wiggles and pulses and flails and rests then surges again with emotionally centered energy.  Imagine a rope stretched really tight and then it breaks.  The rope sways and swings.  That is what you will have until the 19^th. Your instinctive center is still energized and will surface from time to time. You will decide it is time to get out and mingle again. The “hunker down mode” is over.  Time to exit that cave you have been in.  Markets calm down. Life seems to look more normal again. 

The energy is that of a flickering flame. November won’t feel consistent, but the emotional center rarely is.  Expect to feel in yourself and in others quick surges of emotion. We are emotional beings.  A major lesson of this planet is bonding.  That is why, for example, there are more Servers than any other role on this planet. You won’t know how to bond immediately in this new space.  You will have to do it in new ways and with new people and groups.

November is going to have the feel of being in a new town, going to a new school or going to a higher level school. The energy is more intense and the social rules seem outdated a bit.  Not all the groups you spent time with seem relevant anymore.  Other groups look very enticing, even irresistible.  This applies to every facet of your life.  This isn’t solely about your social life.  Your work life changes and perhaps your family life changes. 

There is an unmistakable “we are moving on” feel to everything. This will push you forward well into the New Year.  Most of the gains are with people and not property, wealth or health. Those come next year. Now, life is all about trying to reconnect with other humans.

The only guidance you need comes from your heart.  How does each new situation feel to you?  Do the people you are looking at make you feel safe, warm and curious about them?  That is the only test you need. You can trust your first instinct as well.  Your instinctive center is nearby in case your empathy strays even a little.

That flickering energy you experienced smoothes out on the 19^th.  Now you really will be social.  Part of that comes from the natural pattern of being a human.  The sun is rapidly setting earlier each day. You aren’t that many days from the earliest the sun will set all year (in the Northern Hemisphere). That happens about a week into December.

Seasons program your brain when you first hit the planet.  You learn to depend on bonding in larger groups, eating fall foods as they contain needed nourishment to survive a winter, and celebrating to increase mutual dependence and responsibility.

Over time, that has programmed society. This is the strongest time of the year to interact with other humans.  Look at all the rituals, holidays and celebrations every culture has now.  They are very elaborate, well costumed and programmed.  That earlier sunset forces you to slow down and take stock as a person, family and community.

This energy continues with a few shifts through New Year’s Day.  You will feel extra interest in holiday traditions. Old traditions will surface and be morphed or passed on.  Expect to be fascinated by tales from your elders. It will be a colder winter than average with lots of snow in much of the U.S. That may make some of you feel introspective or melancholy from time to time.

Lastly, expect after the 19^th to start to see old ways of doing and thinking just fade away.  There is more of a collective thinking underway. Now, less enlightened souls will try to retrench and they will appear even more isolated than they do now. People born now who are younger than 4^th Mature have a high probability of being in caution mode, approximately 40% chance. They will have challenges with they growth.

We also expect a larger number of people who are 4^th Mature or older to choose power mode, also about 40%.  Usually the planet has about 50% of the planet in observation mode. But in times of great change, power and caution mode often slide to the forefront.  We are in a period of several decades of that. If you are in power or caution mode now, expect also to become more prominent. We will discuss more of that at the end of the forecast.

October 30^th to November 5^th – Wow, oh wow. What a strong energy swirls around you.  More and more people get roused by the energy. Saturn opposed Uranus on Election Day.  Existing structure is balanced against complete change.  Change is coming.  How far it goes is up to everyone but the change is major in so many areas. It feels before Election Day like standing in line for an amusement park ride. Soon, it will feel like being strapped in but not yet underway.  Then the ride starts and twists and turns.

Now, if this is your first time going through a nexus this big, this will be a cool ride.  But most of the planet has not seen such a change.  You would have to be about 55 years old now to have experienced this before and been old enough to recall it clearly. So if you are younger than that, you will share that with everybody else in that age bracket. It will be like those that lived through the Second World War.  That was as transformative as this will be and either you had that experience or you didn’t.

One upside to getting through trying times is knowing later that you can survive trying times.  Things are rarely as tough or challenging as they are right now. Getting this nexus done and working the changes will feel like an accomplishment in the near future.  That feeling doesn’t go away, it becomes the stuff of legend.

At a minimum, you can say you lived through interesting times.

November 6th to October 19^th

The energy gets all jumpy now.  The election is over, so what does it mean?  Who is in the Obama cabinet?  How fast can he get out troops, lower taxes, fix the economy and improve health care?  There won’t be answers of course at first.  Then, they slowly trickle out but come as promises.  After all, he cannot do anything yet until next year. But he will have things well in hand by the 19^th and we can focus on tradition after that. \

But if the politics change, then that does affect my job, my taxes, and my social structure sure needs some improvement as well. Whom do I see, what is it I really want? How can I be the change I see around me? Grab a calendar and plan out gatherings. Start booking Thanksgiving and Christmas and Chanukah and whatever else you celebrate. 

Now, that was easy enough.  Who is it I want to hang with.  The political tension is fading now.  It have been a long 20 months of it and it won’t take up so much of your brain and emotions going forward.  That gives you time to do some fun stuff. So what will it be? Follow your bliss and feel the lightening of your beingness and outlook. A great weight is lifting and the way to stretch is to get going with others and bond, bond, bond.

November 20^th to November 30th

Thanksgiving is a huge issue in late November.  Who is coming, what are they bringing?  You may feel like throwing the mother of all feasts.  That works as long as you remember that it is all about the family.  You will treasure most not the most food but the most mingling.  Now is the perfect time to honor your elders or elect new ones. 

Transformation like this month creates new muses as well as time passes on and their role shifts to pure inspiration.  People in the 50’s and 60’s will be seen as having real value as they have survived times like this before.  But that mere fact also puts them in a new group.  That group is the ones who have been through it before. 

The energy will begin to feel like people under 56 will be taking over now and if you are older than that, your new job is guidance and inspiration rather than driving the change. You may take great solace in getting the change to happen that we are in.  But you are moving on too. A new set of lessons awaits you as well.

Issues and Archetypes this month

Stones, Crystals and Colors

The stone of the month is Carnelian. It will help with self-worth issues and also help with feeling as though you are lacking or behind where you should be.  It is a great balancer for both high and low frequency people. It also works well to help allow creativity and neutrality in family situations. It really is the only stone you need all month.  The soothing effect of carnelian is calming and heartwarming.

The color of the month starts in orange, from light orange to a reddish orange.  Use these colors to show you that energy surges and flows at different rates from time to time. This is especially useful until the 19^th.  After that, get in touch with sift, warm reds.  Use it to help open your heart and hear the stories and travels of others.  We all have been through a lot. So, each story and tale has value and lessons for you. That is just what friends do for each other.

Politics

Well, Obama is going to win by the time you read this.  Any parallels where McCain wins is not too close to where you are. So what does Obama inherit and how will he rule?

He doesn’t seem to be able to get that magic 60 senators to overcome a filibuster. That looks like a 25% chance as this goes out. He really won’t need it in his first two years as year one is all cleanup. He has to fill a cabinet and all those ancillary positions that come with regime change.  He has to unwind Iraq and pivot to Afghanistan.  He has to properly reregulate the financial markets and pass a stimulus package to get things going.  He will freeze foreclosures and develop a plan to get people out of failing mortgages. 

He will have to fill 2 empty Supreme Court appointments (Stevens and Ginsburg).  We say again, watch for Hillary Clinton to get one of those seats. That is just in the first 9 months.

It seems more likely that he will get the 60 senators in 2010 as he can point to significant improvement by then. Consider it like finally getting a drivers license after a permit period. Still, he will have a full head of steam by then politically and will want wide latitude. 

His policies will seem remarkable just because they follow the law.  That is his platform and it will drive all he does. He can also compromise to get to the next level.  What people don’t see is how relentless he is.  He is in observation mode, slide to power, then slide to perseverance. He reviews, and then makes rules and then toughs out the implementation. 

He won’t have a 100 day plan.  He sees this as an 8 year project.  He wants his data and doesn’t trust what he sees now. Who can blame him on that? Then he will use a very deliberate process setting exercise and then he uses his tenacity to run the table on his plan. He has tremendous political skill which he makes look effortless. He will be a great President in review.

Local politics will lean left in every state and locality.  This year brings in a wave of younger minds and energies as well down below the national level.  These are tech savvy, social media people and will push the electorate to participate more.  There will be big changes in how school is taught coming from this as well as how we allocate social services. This will bring both reach out and stimulus programs to less fortunate areas.

The same questions nationally apply at the local level. What is the new role of government?  What are services that must be expanded?  What no longer serves? What you will see is that the process of governing will get streamlined in the next few years with automation and use of technology in community outreach.

Animals and Nature

Your animals will want to bond along with you.  Expect them to be extra nurturing at times and demanding at others until the 19^th.  They had their instinctive centers riled during the last month and will be uneven like you will be.  That is ok though. Try some new venues for them. Maybe they need some additional training or they are walking clubs you always wanted to join. If you do fish, add in school fish if you can to create a sense of calmness for your tank. Birds will want your attention and will compete for it if they have to.

This wavering energy smoothes out after the 19^th. Expect your pets to be right by your side.  They will be extra loyal, sometimes to the point of being extra spoiled.  That is alright for now we think.  They will grow tremendously during the next few months and will want to have that energy rub off on you.

Wild animals will be all around you as well.  Expect them to be more curious all month but especially until the 19^th.  Be careful with really wild animals as they will be less able to maintain control as the emotional energy surges around them. Certainly, this is a horrible time to provoke any wild animals around you. Be patient and you may form new friendships with all those raccoons, squirrels, wild birds and so on that share the same space you do.

Weather and Travel

The weather will be extra cold this winter; most of you can sense that already. Snow is falling in the US.  It will be snowy as well this winter. The cold is pretty national in scope, no one is immune. Wind will be normal in November, it will just be cold.  Get your coats out. We didn’t get any major volcanoes or earthquakes last month, which is fine.  There was a pretty good chance last month but not so much in November. It should be fairly calm right through the holidays at this point.

Travel is well aspected as well.  All forms should be ok, land, air, water and car.  Just be on time and things should go smoothly. Monitor your alcohol this month, especially until the 19^th as it may seem reasonable to really let one go after all the fun of October.  Have plans in place in case you do. There will be brief spurts early that seem to invite rash behavior.  Just be extra careful.

Health and Exercise

Aerobics will make the best use of your energy this month.  Just keep your heart and lungs working and try to maintain a smooth pace.  That will build you up slowly but will give you a chance for long term health if you are diligent now. Not that you cannot lift weights and do other things.  Just get your cardio in.  Breathing capacity is a great tool in expansive times, so go work that rib cage.

As far as health, just watch overdoing things really.  Get a decent amount of vegetables and watch food you know is bad for you.  We don’t advise cutting everything out.  With the emotional focus, that won’t be possible.  You will need to eat comfort food.  Just eat a reasonable amount. Starches may appear especially appealing this winter as your body wants weight when it is cold.  Try to minimize them if you can.  Almost half the US population is not starch tolerant in some way.  The most common issue is with wheat but potatoes; rice and even corn can really add inches this year. You may find if you cut that it out that it doesn’t taste appealing after a few weeks. What a great lesson for next year.  You will end up working on your diet a lot in 2009, so why not get a tiny head start now?

Love and Relationships

This is a Love AND Relationship month. The energy makes it easy more and more to get out and mingle. Until the 19^th, you will want to hang out with new groups and experiment more.  This is a great time to shift to group who just match up better.  If you think they will, give new groups and associations a try.  The fact that you are interested indicates that you likely match up well energetically.

Your essence and body seek out people of like frequency and energy by habit as part of survival. But these links are about prospering more than basic survival.  The groups you join now will help you mingle with people who share the same growth or expansion ideas you do. Go find those that make live more fun to be around. It actually will be easy to do by the 10^th. 

After the 19^th, you will be drawn to more traditional models and get-togethers.  Family becomes increasing more important.  While the change of leadership and growth earlier in the month was fun and light, now the energy shifts to being more stable and grounded.  many of you will have get-togethers that feel like a ceremony in some way.  The torch gets passed in many families this year.  Many of you over 56 will get treated more like an elder than you had been.  You will be sought out by those younger than you as they try to raise their game a notch.

For partners, it is a month of coming and going.   Each of you will want to build up new outside alliances for yourself.  You also will build some things as a couple. The real couple energy happens at month end, after the 25^th.  You will want to just share the glow and soothing peace of your partner. 

If you don’t have a partner, month-end isn’t a bad time to trip over someone new. The spark comes after you find someone who is easy to be around, someone you feel at peace with.  That is the lasting spark that keeps people together for decades rather than months. Sex happens, connection are what last.

Business and Money

In the short term, expect the markets to continue the surging up and down.  Ultimately, the net change by Thanksgiving shouldn’t be large and likely up rather than down.  The markets calm down after Thanksgiving as most people realize this is a lean Christmas. We see retail sales as generally flat to slightly up for most retailers. This isn’t ultimately great news as most everyone is hurting.  But it will inch up slowly and more importantly now, be calmer through the holidays.

We want to shift and talk long term.  This is a bottom in the market.  Credit will loosen up in 2009. More normal commerce will be in place by mid-year. But a full recovery isn’t until 2010.  So then, where will the long term success be? That isn’t hard to discern at all. It will be in the areas that work best with mature soul energy.

First is Health Care.  This area will do the best in the next 5 years.  The country will add 30 million new people to the system and improve access to services for another 30 million. This puts tremendous pressure on nurses, doctors and specialty areas. High tech medicine ( CT Scans, hi tech surgery and lab testing)  will be extremely strained as they try to handle the new cases.  This area takes time to expand and runs out of capacity fast.

Besides nurses, lab techs, pharmacists and ER staff jobs will all do very well. Even the dentist will see resurgence in their workload. The companies that provide services to these areas will also do well. Last is long term and hospice care. We expect request for access to this type of care planning to increase 50% in 10 years.

High tech does well in the new economy, especially social media.  Attention in that area will be over the top this year. Twitter now is a service rather than a good feeling on your first date with someone. Expect more mergers of services to provide more complete packaging.  A good example is the cooperation between Tivo and Netflix. That linking of content and distribution is the new model in high tech business. Ask Apple who does iTunes and the IPhone about how well that model works.

Last we will highlight basic consumer goods. That enjoys a good boost in the next two years.  People want to get back to basic, simple and easy to afford.  Almost everyone is in the mode where they are denying themselves some basic things, things you are used to having around. Maybe it is wine you cut out.  Are you using cheaper cuts of meat or fish? Aren’t shopping at the megastores as much as it seems easier to buy just what you need rather than do stocking up?

This winter will bring out the urge to stock up. Your instinctive center will want to grab the first signs of prosperity that come this holiday.  It has been living on the edge for a while and that just isn’t enjoyable.  So expect your instinctive center to want to be first in line. Gifts that restore instinctive harmony will be very welcome this year.  It will calm down by mid-January or so. In the meantime, can you have too much good soup around?

Reserve

You will want to be more of a sideline player this month.  Your specialty is refining the status quo.  The normal way of doing things is changing. You jump in after passion mode gets everyone all excited and optimize that energy. So become more of an observation mode person.  Final decisions start popping out near month-end, no reason to get all wound up until after that.

Passion

You don’t mid getting all hot and bothered about some things. In fact, you even like it more often than not.  That just won’t work this month.  You are best suited just letting everyone know that progress in underway and be patient. You won’t be one of the deciders this month but you will be told first after all the rules get laid out. Try not to instigate the perseverance and aggression moders around you. December is a great month for you, so bide your time as best you can.

Caution

Well, the planet swings it’s lonely eyes to you, woo-woo-woo. You don’t love to be in the middle of things normally but you aren’t shy.  You do speak up when it matters.  Well, it matters this month.  There will be forces that just want this mess over with.  You are better at actually fixing the problem rather than pushing it aside.  In fact, that drives you batty.  Expect to feel compelled to get involved this month.  That isn’t a bad thing once in awhile.

Power

There comes a time when you are needed to be of service.  This is that month. You define how things should work and line everybody up and get them in synch. You may feel overwhelmed with how much that will happen around you this much.  You will have the busiest calendar, the most meetings, the most new groups and feel like the person in the center ring far more than normal. Things work because of rules. Get in there and get things done, you can shop next month.

Perseverance

You become the wise one this month.  Everyone will want things done.  You know lasting change takes months and years.  All you can do is keep reminding everyone that it isn’t as simple as the rules people make it seem.  You know the real world is really messy and has obstacles out there that no one can foresee. Setting long term goals as part of the new process can really help others remember to solve the problem.

Aggression

You are just itching to get going this month. Just take it easy.  Spend time exploring new connections and being a risk taker with new alliances.  That is nothing new for you.  Line up all the possibilities you can for when the time is right to get going.  The hard part is that isn’t until month-end. Just keep adding arrows to your quiver.  The hunting is better in December this year anyway.

Observation

Your challenge is to really look at the landscape.  Things aren’t as they seem to be. The tide is turning and change is underway.  Be a reporter rather than an observer.  Just kick out the facts as you see them before you slide to your mode you use to get things done. Good decisions come from good data. Go verify what the world really is doing now rather than phoning in the same old info.
