December 2008 Monthly Forecast

Summary of the Month

December is calmer than the last three months as the focus shifts to family and relationships. This is a month for bonding above all else, especially with loved ones.  There is a nexus from the 6^th to the 8^th that takes you deep into connecting with your loved ones for the rest of the year.

Early in December, it is possible to get work done, make new agreements around work or connect with your close friends. These are people in your third circle of acceptance and a few in your fourth circle. These friends are people you likely have agreements with and the mutual loyalty can be rewarded and expanded. You won’t see big growth until next year, just an agreement that there is opportunity aplenty to be worked upon.

After the 8^th, life is all about family.  This is a great month to connect with those in your first two circles of acceptance. These are your mates, offspring and close family. December is normally the time to work on these connections, but this year it is doubly so.  For now, connect with those that matter to you most.

Everything else; politics, business and travel seems futile.  They all come back next year with a vengeance. Obama has decided to work on three major areas next year, the economy, civil rights and racial integration.  He is picking up where Lincoln, FDR and Kennedy left off. The economy starts moving ahead next year although the major panic energy has passed.  For now, grab that loved one and share the reasons for the seasons.

Monthly Focal Points

This has been one incredible year.  We started off in Artisan energy and picked who would battle for the job of President.  This year brought us three people, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Hillary lasted until June and won the nomination in a decent amount of parallel universes near this one.  The year then shifted into King energy and you have felt those effects personally even when the impact is often much larger than you.

King energy reshapes systems, so we said the planet would undergo a major shift in November.  That shift picked up the economy to go along with the political leaning of the government in October and now the world looks very different than it did in March. The way the whole planet looks at money, wealth, lending, risk, bailouts and greed is larger than at any time since the Great Depression.  That era produced a gift as well. The Federal Reserve, Social Security, Federal Home Loans and so many other programs grew from that.  Something great will grow from the wreckage around you, it always has, it always will.

But that isn’t enough.  So much more is being planned right now.  A new administration is coming into power.  The basic tenor of the country is more liberal.  New partnerships are being formed as we become less divisive.  Now it seems the best answer or person is what matters and not the belief set. They can be any color or background, after all a black man has been elected President. Anything seems possible right now.

More on the economy and politics will follow.  The major, major energy of the month is the need to bond.  After understanding that acceptance is the goal of every cycle of lives, you look next at the major lesson of the planet you are on.  That lesson here on Earth is bonding. Each being here is distinct and variable.  The variety of shapes and possible sizes, colors and family traits available for use as a body makes this planet unique.  That is challenging as well.

That uniqueness calls you to bond with others.  In fact, you will bond with all types of others. Some will look like you and others will not. Just go to the mall and look at all the different shapes humans come in. Tall, short, athletic, too much makeup on, with a stroller or a backpack, Asian, European, Indian (at least two continents there), just intriguing; people appear in so many unique ways.  Isn’t it amazing that people can find so many different mate and family types?

Now you have been all of those people in your past lives.  You have been too tall, short, athletic, too much makeup on, with a stroller or a backpack and so on yourself.  You are the mall of people that passes before you. That is unique to this planet.  Most species that are sentient look remarkably alike.  Look at the species around you. Dogs, cats, squirrels, pandas, bears, fox and almost every animal around you looks fairly similar. You, as a human get to morph into many forms.

That makes bonding more complex here.  You have to learn to get past what is on the outside and love what is on the inside.  You don’t get really started on that lesson until you reach mature soul level. You don’t grasp it completely until 4^th mature. So the US will start to learn a new way to bond. This is remarkably transforming and forms the foundation of the energy of the US going forward.

Without bonding, no real spiritual growth is possible and the US will really grow spiritually over the next few decades. The force of that changes the dynamic of the whole planet. Did you notice how the terrorist attack in India stayed in the news constantly?  The US has agreements in that part of the world that will come into visibility now that Obama is here. More on that in the Politics section below.

Bonding is the key now. Think Globally, Bond Locally is the new motto. Getting your emotional center in on things means sustainable growth and evolution into a new belief system for the country and the planet.  The migration now begins towards creating a human family attitude.  We have recognition of the fact that we are all here now. No new humans are coming to the planet; that ended in 1986.  Now we have the cards all dealt, even though the population is still growing as people flock back to the planet in concurrent lifetimes to examine these fascinating times multi-dimensionally.

The energy has reached a crescendo and becomes more tightly wound going forward. We are all one family with common problems in different parts of the planet. What one does impacts us all. Putting the US block of energy into the grid means the planet can progress as a whole.

That has to start somewhere. It starts with family.  This bonding process will start from the inside out. By next year, you will sense bonding on all nine circles of acceptance. We will bond with every country on the planet.  But it starts with your loved ones and then your close friends. It is very affirming to realize how nurturing and meaningful it is to have family and close friends around.

So spend the holiday really connecting with those close to you.  Send emails every day. Use electronic card services, many are free and the rest are very reasonable. Call, meet; swapping stories and giving hugs are the best use of your time right now. Everything else will fall into place in due time.

Progress is futile right now. The economy really won’t change substantially until next year. No new stimulus packages until January 20^th, checks to follow for weeks and months after that. That will help. Taxes will go down for most people. New regulations will get passed and lending will resume at a faster pace. Just not as fast as last year. Expect things to stay monetarily bleak from the media’s viewpoint until March or so.

The US will begin to formally pull out of Iraq. The Iraqis are ready to stand up now.  It may not look like we want it to and it will be rocky there. Bombs will still go off but transitions of power will be peaceful.  Which is more than Pakistan can say right now. But the wind down of Iraqi involvement is increasing in speed next year. The pace is set for the next 6 months already.

More troops will be shifted to Afghanistan.  There is an election next year and Karzai wants to win. He wants to have the Taliban become a political party. That will happen and Obama will eventually agree to that late in 2009, he will have to. But that is then, now we can only wait.

India and China will be more prominent as well. They want to be just like the US and Europe.  They will have to integrate, deal with their domestic terrorists and have even more open elections.

Besides making economic changes as large as or larger than what FDR did, Obama has civil rights and societal integration issues to deal with. The civil rights piece will be more subtle than under Kennedy.  Obama is about “no drama” when he wants change. He will put in place systems that support more rights for gays. He will do immigration reform and expand trade within the hemisphere. He will be a huge hit in South America, for example, and will expand connections to Brazil, Chile and Argentina. He will defrost relations with Cuba and when Raul Castro eventually dies, there will be new elections there.

That is a huge component of what the Obama administration will want to do. They want to bring elections to places they don’t exist. That brings us to an even larger issue.  Obama will unite the new set of races in the US.  Just a century ago, there was no such thing as white people. Now there is.  White will no longer be the dominant energy as far as race within 15 years. Having a person of color in the job of President means so much for so many. We aren’t the colonies anymore and we aren’t the US after the Civil War.  Our leader comes from Hawaii by birth, via Indonesia, Kenya, Kansas and even California before Harvard propelled him back to Chicago.  He is everyman and he seems to be comfortable with all men and women.

This completes the lesson of Lincoln.  Lincoln so badly wanted to make the country one again.  All he got to do was turn the tide.  But he never could have reached his vision, the wounds were too deep. Only now can they be put behind us.  Only now are we ready to be a mature soul country. That impact will be huge over time. But it only starts next year.

We can say that the panic energy has peaked around survival.  People’s instinctive centers are winding down. Life looks more certain now, although it has been better. But better times are ahead. There will be time enough to get ready to spring forward next year and tackle that nearly impossible pile of tasks.

Now, take time to connect with those that really matter to you.  That will seem easier after the 8^th and become almost free floating within a week or so. Serious work will take a back seat. We are in an economic and political timeout.  The game will be different soon. Get in touch with the water, fire and even a wee bit of earth over the holidays.

December 1^st to December 5^th

The planet is smoothing out now.  It just isn’t as crazy as it has been.  It feels like time to take a break from the stress and finality of the last few months. So, get all those last minute agreements started with friends and business partners. Agree on what you want to do in February and March next year.  You can hint at what May and later will bring but that is so far off now and so energetically different. 

But the shooting has stopped and the dust is almost completely settled. This is a great time to acknowledge the gifts that others have brought to you so far and what promise holds out for the future. Shift gears to be appreciative. Touching others pays the biggest karmic dividends for you.

December 6th to December 8^th

While this nexus lasts a few days, it is really gentle in effect. You will become quite contemplative.  It is a time to see where you have been and where you are as well as what the future may hold based on that. It is the energy of the Dickens story A Christmas Carol. Things can only be “Scroogy” for so long.  You realize now that in the end, all you have that you can always count on is family.

The bonds from mates and family members are stronger on you than anything else.  They don’t disappear because you get a new job, move away or move back, the economy tanks or bursts ahead. You really get that now at a deeper level.  Take time to re-evaluate your past, present and future. Visit your ghosts and let them go. Being neutral allows the lesson to leave and a new one to come in. We are in a crossover space. External gifts will come in time and they will be huge.  The size of the challenge thrown at the planet guarantees that.

But just as Wall Street stands on the shoulders of Main Street, external gifts are built on internal gifts. Bonding with the country and planet begins with bonding with loved ones.

You are the mall of people that passes before you. You will receive many gifts this holiday season, some even wrapped with pretty paper and a bow. Think about how each person you love is a gift.

December 8^th to December 31^st

The pattern of what happens to the energy after the 10^th of December or so is as certain as a  NASA countdown.  That is true of this year even more so.  Trees will go up, candles of celebration will be lit, and fireplaces will spring into life. It is how long ‘til Christmas? 9 days, then 8 and so on and you know this drill. Even non-Christians and atheists get caught up in the festival energy. This year is so much less material and more about emotional connection than most years. Take advantage of that.

This is a great year to have a ceremony to your special day.  Advent calendars, adding an ornament to a tree, getting a new menorah is a great tradition to start or update. But do something to get into the rhythm of the season. Carolers will be very popular this year as they appeal to the positive pole of the emotional center and demonstrate great bonding lessons on many levels.

It is time to just go with the flow until next year. That inauguration will be unbelievable.  Just imagine that many people there to see or be in the sea of people. Literally 3 million people would go if the District could allow the crowd control process to work. Millions more will watch it on TV and it will feel like the warm-up period right before a big race is about to start.

But that is then. You can become wistful if you like. It will be very different in 2009. You can have good times right now. You have hundreds of times before with loved ones, in this body and previous versions.  The energy of the planet has been nasty before. Imagine ice ages, large and small or volcanoes erupting and so on.  And the planet bounced back stronger than before. It will again. But we can take a few weeks off to connect.

Issues and Archetypes this month

Stones, Crystals and Colors

The stones of the month are Ruby, Gold and Garnets. Gold is fairly easy to find and keep around and Ruby is not more expensive to acquire, so working with Garnets is the most practical thing to do. They will help ground you through this emotional swirling. They will get you in touch with demonstrating competence with ease and grace. Gold helps stabilize your energy level and keeps you in the present.  It helps you really use your body as a tool and connecting device. Gold helps you get into your physicality, both the gifts and the limits.

The colors are traditional Christmas red and green with gold and orange mixed in. Get in touch with candles and fire in fireplaces this holidays. That energy really helps your instinctive center feel safe and secure. That allows you to be calmer and more fluid in your interactions with others. Use all four colors, with green being the least powerful and red being the strongest energy this month.

Politics

The political landscape will be pretty calm this month. Obama has chosen his first set of major players. Now he can let others fill in the middle layers. He has big issues to get his mind around. He really gets how symbolic his election is.  He is 4^th mature, so he can grasp reality well. He knows he must knit the country together, so he is emulating Lincoln. He will assemble a mixture of people from the other side in his administration.

He treats this like he did his job as the editor for the Harvard Law Review. He wants the best minds available to unite the country. He wants different takes on things and understands that that approach helps deliver an effective product to the country.  He is from energy ring 9375, cadre 1, entity 1, and space 39 on the truth side. He is in a cadence with most Michael students given that casting.

He has huge economic issues to study.  He knows step one is a stimulus package on his desk on day 1. He will get it. What is in it will be debated for many days downstream. But he has larger issues to tackle as well. Tax policy, regulation and health care policy are also in there along with the job creation in his stimulus package. Now is time to think through all that and let the social issues follow in the wave that starts in May.

Obama has an eight year plan. He strategizes them like a basketball game, with there being four two-year-long quarters with a Presidential election at halftime. He really believes that the best growth and prosperity comes in the second and third quarter, from 2010 to 2014.  He is right about that. The seeds of large scale prosperity will begin to bear significant fruit during that window.

Now it is time to just feel our way through until the swearing in. What a historical day that will be.

Animals and Nature

Animals will want to bond more than average as well.  This is especially true for any domesticated animal.  All domesticated animals are around humans to work on bonding, both inside and outside their species. That drive is more pronounced now.  Your pets won’t be manic or intense about it.  They will want to be closer, sleep with you more and be more distressed than usual when you leave them alone. Now is a good time to get a pet if you have considered the matter for some time rather than acting rashly. 

This is a good time to help groups outside the country that aid less well off countries and tribes with their domestication needs.  It would be a great time to take a camera safari since wild animals will be more docile than normal. Do not mistake that for treating them as a pet or getting too close.  They will defend their territory and loved ones as fiercely as you would. Wild animals will be in the news as they encroach on human habitation more this month. Expect sightings on TV and around you if you live near a wild animal interfacing zone like a park or open fields.

Stories about animal bonding of all types will be quite popular this month, from travelogues to movies like Bambi. They help show you how primal and necessary bonding is. It is basic to what we are yet we are more nuanced and complex. Think of being around animals as getting the lesson in its simplest form.

Weather and Travel

Well, we will say this many more times but expect a wet, but especially cold winter.  That means lots of lake effect snow, sleet and hail if that is in your pattern.  Even tropical areas will feel wetter and cooler than normal this year.  It is a reset time and that brings out cleansing. The energy from humans helps drive rain or drought or global warming.  We are not separate from the patterns around us.

That said, travel will be tougher than normal this month with lots of delays.  Plan out extra time to get anywhere. People aren’t thinking, they are reacting to things around them. Stay focused while driving. Plus weather stress makes systems break.  It just means traveling takes more time; not that catastrophes will be abounding. Volcanoes and earthquakes look light.

Health and Exercise

It sure is easy to skip working out altogether. Now is when you tend to overeat and not think about moving.  Avoid strenuous workouts and focus on aerobics and stretching this month.  Just do something active rather than pushing exercise away.  You can still be healthy if you participate in sporting activities several times a week but for less time than in summer.  That is normal for winter.  Just don’t stop completely.

The area of challenge is the lungs this month. We expect a bad flu season this year. We are shifting from one major strain set to another and the flu shots are based on old formulas. What will help is rest, fluid, low self abuse and pacing yourself. It is easy to want to get ahead of the pace of things and become worn out, even exhausted. Don’t force yourself harshly, be moderate and react immediately if you feel tired or congested. Take time to let go. What is piled up to do will get done in due time and you do want to be present for that.

Love and Relationships

The key energy this month is about love and relationships.  The key component of that is trust.  Who has your back is a question that gets asked and answered in December. The answer comes from your moving and instinctive center working together, or what you would call your gut instinct.  You know intuitively who you connect with. Early in the month that lesson is about friends.

After the 8^th, the trust work is about your family. Go deepen your existing bonds. Finding ways to stay in touch via technology is a great use of Christmas presents. Gifts will be very personal this year. Make that present highlight the connection you have with your loved ones rather than showing off financial prowess.

The changing of the guard process that started late last month continues in December. We are rising up energetically. Recognize the shifts in others and compliment them.  We are all progressing and growing. Ways of connecting are growing more sophisticated and more varied. See the core of who you really love and acknowledge their importance to you now. That is the most stable way to take on 2009.

We appreciate how much flexibility it requires to hold your life together and then take on even more connection. Many of you feel overtaxed, exhausted, spent and have been too long on high alert.  The easiest way to get that low frequency energy out of your space is to let it go and let in love energy.  The highest dose of that comes from those closest to you.

So bonding now revives you after a bit.  There will be the need for recharge time. You won’t bounce back immediately.  But you will recover. The more love you use, the easier it is for you.  So reach out and let boundaries drop. That released resistance improves your capacity as well. So let go for more get go.

Business and Money

Well, the worst is behind us. Anxiety about the complete collapse of the economy or society as we know it is going away. The main energy this month is just hanging on.  Use wisdom in purchasing this month.  Extend yourself on credit only if you must.  Buy meaningful rather than large gifts. If you can carve out some time, make some of your gifts.  It frees the left side of your brain and lets it rest up. It is also more spontaneously joyous as your reactions become less filtered.

Money will be made next year. The platform for 2009, starting in May is Prosperity.  That means lessons around how to make money in a healthy way and how to depend on it less. Even when recovery starts next year, the process will take time. So there is no need to push this month.

The main lesson is that long term growth comes from making each person more productive.  There are three parts to that. First and easiest is adding more skills to each person. Second is adding in more knowledge and third is improved health.

Adding skill is easy to do.  Classes in almost any area are common right now.  One can switch from being a welder at GM to being a nurse.  There are nursing classes available almost anywhere in the US.  The hard part is letting go of old skills that no longer serve and getting money to take the classes.  Money for schooling will be part of the economic recovery bills that pass throughout 2009.

Getting more educated is next.  That requires access to information and having the person able to receive it. The faster pace and more hope available next year makes taking a risk on education easier to do. Having better student loans and more of them will help, as well as a new GI Bill that we expect to see coming.

Last step is improved health care to have the country become more productive.  This helps us compete globally as well. The key phrase is throughput.  That applies to words as well as products.  Expanding your connections and gaining a bigger audience is another way to improve havingness. Focus on skills, education and health will be the drivers for Main Street to refuel Wall Street.

Artisan

The key is to not become such a hermit that you bond with no one. It is hard to be the bringer of change for the planet. You have been holding the hope energy for everyone, showing them what is possible if we work together.  So now you need a rest. Take one. But make some calls, send your emails and connect somewhere each day. We know you need to process, just leave a trail of breads crumbs and a good contact number.

Sage

Now is a great month to take off, Sages.  You have been trying to keep everyone in the loop during the chaos. So, after the 8^th, stop already.  The planet is in flux and people need to chill. Let them be and let them call you. You will benefit the most from some quality down time so get on with that. We all have your number, you made sure of that.

Warrior

Trust, trust, and trust are your three key words this month. You want things as simple as possible.  You will want to manifest easily but only when necessary. Turn phones and computers off; grab a book and a pillow. Knit or draw or do whatever is mindless and soothing. You want to be around only those you can let your guard down with.

King

Time to update that Rolodex file. Takes notes of everyone you have met recently and what they can do.  You are the keeper of the cosmic black book. Just don’t try to do anything with it right now. There is plenty of time next month and next year or longer for that.  Document who and what you know and store it for the future rather than press ahead now.

Server

It will be easy to take care of everyone this month. You always do that at Holiday Time, and this year appears no different. Well, take a lesson from your Artisan friends and get some cocoon time in December. People really don’t need all that much help this month anyway. Open up and share yourself. It is as much fun to open presents as wrap them.

Priest

Relax a bit this month.  Much of what you wanted is underway.  You aren’t at the goal line yet but the planet is headed in a new and positive direction. Take some time to understand where everyone is rather than where they are headed. Change is harder on most people than it is on you. Let your flock catch up and breathe this month.

Scholar

Write all you know down and then get some rest. One gift and challenge of being a scholar is always being available to assist others. Learn the lesson of the artisan and get your down time in.  Catch up on your journal, read new cookbooks or do things that are easy and relaxing this month.  Scholars often have the best toys of anyone, so use the ones you have rather than seek out new ones. We also see especially strong connections with children and pets this month. Snuggle with those little ones!
