2008 started in Artisan energy.  It was a very chaotic period and created many parallel possibilities for everyone at that time.  We are now in a minority parallel branch where the energy is more liberal than moderate.    

This parallel became most identified with politics and the economy. It began when the current administration ignored doing anything to stop foreclosures at the large nexus in March of 2008. They chose to bail out Bear Stearns and move the problem down the road. In June, the election became an Obama/McCain contest.

Then the King energy kicked in on June 15th.  It is a King year every 21 years.  The planet moves through an 84-year cycle, broken into four 21-year parts. We are now beginning the second part of the current 84-year cycle: the 84-year cycle that will move us as a species from Young Soul consciousness to Mature. The first 21-year part of the cycle started at the Harmonic Convergence in 1986. So that 1986-87 period was the last time we had a King year.

King energy is all about fixing the systemic problems in society and in our personal lives.  We in America could have chosen to work on one of three tasks: fixing the economy, radically changing political structures (including possible secession and/or assassinations), or re-examining warfare as a means to achieving diplomatic goals. We chose the economy in this parallel, the least violent of the three.

Here the issues are more ethereal rather than physical. That is in line with having a higher frequency in this parallel.  That higher frequency drove Obama, the Priest, to capture 350 plus Electoral votes and 59 Senators for his party, rather than the lower frequency Warrior, McCain. What dropped out during that very intense time in October was the economy, specifically productivity.  We have fueled the last 8 years by reusing debt (an old lesson from the last century in the US) out of houses to grow the economy.  That source of money eventually ran dry and the economy tanked. Productivity will be a huge issue going forward.

So that takes us to where we are now. Obama has won and the economy is undergoing a transformation. We will rebound economically, although not fully until 2011. The energy remains King energy this year until June when Server energy shows up until December.  At that time, the energy shifts to Artisan until 2010. The Server period helps ground society and brings solid Mature perspective into the mix. That comes in on May 28^th.

We had 3 major nexuses last year. The first was in early March, the second in mid-June and the last wrapped into Election Day. That is highly unusual.  Not every year has even one major nexus.  This year only has one, from the 28^th of May until June 3^rd.

Here, we look to something inspirational to help us economically.  That person is Barack Obama, a Priest.  The last Priest President in the US was Zachary Taylor. A Priest president is very unusual; no one alive in the US now has seen anything like this. What he has on his plate is backing out of a war, manipulating another one, fixing the economy and restoring civil rights and regulations to something sensible.  While he is at it, because he is half black, race relations will be needing attention at the same time.  So the challenges are huge.

We do assure you that we will come out of this economic crisis.  The last time we went through such a huge change was with the Great Depression followed by the Second World War.  It transformed the planet and so will this with the US undergoing as much or more change than any other country on the planet.  During that crisis the country was forced to come together and drop petty differences in order to bring about change that was humane and workable.  It was carried under the banner of patriotism, it brought about civil rights where blacks eventually became integrated into the military, and school integration was propelled from that energy. Women gained more civil rights and more equal treatment as did many other groups.

Civil rights issues will show up in mid 2009 as Obama plans to replace 3 Supreme Court Justices in his first 6 years in office. This will isolate the 4 current conservatives, Alito, Thomas, Roberts and Scalia and sustain the progression in gay marriage, abortion rights, and so on. 

The energy for the last 40 years has been substantially conservative with only 12 years of conservative Democratic Presidency in that mix.  So now a huge swing is taking place back to the left.  Before that we had a short period with Kennedy and Johnson (somewhat). However, you have to go back to FDR to see a real progressive President, of Obama’s type.

The planet is going left politically and going left fairly hard: get ready for that change.  You should be able to feel it even if you don’t trust it just yet. Just a month ago the estimate was maybe a million people would show up for the inauguration, now it is more than 3 million.  We think it could be closer to 10 million, if they can find the room. Certainly 100’s of millions of people will want to be somewhere to watch it live on TV. Many people will just take the day off and want to connect with this energy and make sure it happens. It will be like the Million Man March or the 50^th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge multiplied by 100 in terms of gathering interest from people all over the world. This is a huge shift and our first nexus of the year happens then.

A Year this high in moving centered energy average about one year in every fifteen, so expect to feel peppy. We enter 2009 with a short period of re-evaluation, caution and cynic, then that lightens by February 1^st.  Then we move back to growth, power mode and idealism as an attitude.  We expect to see the energy shift between these overleaves and the main set several times in 2009, in a cycle of progress followed by stabilization. The next time we rethink things is in mid-April. We also expect there to be an assassination attempt on Obama at that time.

So you will have idealistic growth with power mode perspectives, followed by cautious rethinking with a cynical slant. This cycle happens three times in 2009, so enjoy the roller coaster. The energy will be about 70% forward and 30% retreat in 2009.

The only other shifts are the addition of Stubbornness in May and a period of relaxing that starts into the mix on July 4^th. This relaxing energy lasts the rest of the year and allows your instinctive center to heal up and calm down.  It will be a time of rebuilding after a great storm.  The growth from this year’s work will eventually be tremendous.  There will be renewed prosperity and even wealth again.  Greater prosperity and stability await everyone in the next decade.

Inauguration day starts the tumultuous change of the year, followed by the February nexus that rips apart the old with great destructive force to build anew amidst the rubble (watch for self-destruction obstacles to be stimulated here). In March we have a nexus to really drive productivity.  This is a great time to pass a jobs bill or stimulus package.  Quality repair and production, and making products easier to use become key issues and directives.

The April nexus is the backlash towards caution, cynicism and racism.  Hate crimes and assassination attempts can show up here. May 28^th starts the longest nexus of the year.  Not only do we switch to Server and get to take a look at doing things that make life better for others (that is a major lesson for this planet after all), we also take some time to pat each other on the back for getting this far. This is the start of a short review cycle.  The shift of 2008 has been made. It will take time, lots of time, to get this economy working, but the changes are now inevitable and they are coming.  By this nexus, your instinctive center will finally believe that the world is different and real progress is coming.  That will feel very good.  A few of us may still be nervous about the changes coming. But the fact that change is happening won’t be a question at all.

Relaxation gets added to the mix on July 4^th.  That will really help with healing everyone.  We see how exhausted everyone is.  Your batteries are low and unable to charge.  That goes away with this nexus. The intellectual center also becomes more prominent now as well, giving the other centers a much needed break. The nexus in September is very traditional.  It is a new school year, a new car year and time to rally sales and sign customers and launch products again.

The October nexus brings back some instinctive energy and is a major re-evaluation period for you. This one will be quick but fairly intense. Veteran’s Day gets everyone started in the Holiday mood. Really, it is just a way to keep the pace under control. Lastly is the traditional Holiday nexus: this year it comes on December 16^th;  shifts us into the Artisan perspective; and throws everyone into creative holiday expression.

The world will be more collegial next year.  There will be a place to merge perspectives, so that the blue state view can unite with the red state view.  Gloom and disparity will be replaced by tempered hope and the beginnings of growth and expansion. All great progress begins with affirming force. This is then followed by the challenges or “denying force” on our way to satisfaction. We are in some denying force at the moment, but that will pass. When JP’s son, Thatcher, was 4 years old and frustrated he’d say that he was stuck in the “Denying Forest” and couldn’t get out.  You won’t be in the Denying Forest much longer. The light is coming and it will be good indeed.

Platform             

The current US Platform is Personal Choice until May and is Rebuilding Prosperity after that. We have all been going through a lot of personal choice the last few months even in the shared downtime that the economy brings us.  We will be asking ourselves what we want until May.

After that the shift is to prosperity.  The lesson is that of knowing what makes you feel prosperous.  That could be cash, retirement set aside, fine clothes or connecting to a community or group of old friends. What does havingness mean to you?  When the server energy hits in June, you begin to add in what does prosperity mean for those close to you?  What does family havingness look like?   Grandkids, or going to college, or getting married?

You have to decide that one as a team as well. This can mean wealth.  Wealth happens after you decide what makes you feel abundant.  That platform is a few years away but not long. Prosperity entails using your personal process to achieve whatever makes you feel and be more powerful and content on the physical plane.  So what is that for you?  You will be asking that a lot in the last half of 2009.

We will be focusing a lot on productivity, primarily in three areas, education, increasing career skills, and personal health. In this parallel, relative to others, education is undervalued and underfunded. That will change starting next year.  That growth in learning adds long term capacity and capability to the economy and to you. The same kind of thing happened after WWII with the GI Bill.

Career improvement will be funded as well.  It will become easier to be computer literate.  Computers will find an even larger role in society.  In 5 years, they will be everywhere. You will find them at the mall, in your car, in your pocket, and at the store. You will be able to connect anywhere at higher speeds as well. More job programs will be created.  Most companies will invest more money in training in the US, driven by tax benefits. 

Lastly, is the most anticipated area, that of personal health.  We will see many more people receive health care benefits within the next 5 years.   80% of the people with no health care will get some coverage and 50% of those with very little coverage will get complete coverage.  That impacts 60 million people in the US, about 20% of the population.  That gives a tremendous boost to productivity country-wide.

The other perspective on health care we see is that it will energetically be easier to want to be healthy. You have that energy now here in Northern California.  But that same outlook doesn’t exist in Tennessee or Michigan, let alone in most other countries around the planet.

We look out here at the audience and we see how wiped out everyone is.  Your instinctive centers are just fried. We can hear them saying “Thank God, the State of the Planet is being discussed in December, because we might be dead on our feet by January…” The planet will have a fair amount of moving centered energy next year. That starts big time in February. The moving center rules your job, your movement, your health, your body, your business, your career, your activities, your sexuality and your hobbies. They all reconstruct next year.

We are going through deconstruction energy right now.  We really shift from that with the nexus in February and begin creating things again. It took a lot of turmoil to get the conditions that created Social Security in this country decades ago.  We are going through such a period now and great growth will spring from this.

The economy will expand some next year, just not a lot. The real estate market will finally start to rebound in the spring and that will calm down everyone’s instinctive center. That instinctive center of yours wants to know that it has a covered place to sleep. It always has, since you first got here. An unstable real estate market makes everything else feel unstable as well.

The first thing Obama will do is temporarily halt foreclosures as soon as he can once he is sworn in.  That will produce calming by March and begin to restore some confidence. We expect to see some real changes in June for both investor/owners as well as owner/occupiers in the form of more relief, forgiveness and additional loan funding. People will feel that desire to build solid roots again by June. That will really be the grounding force for the real estate recovery.  Now it will be several years until we see highs like in 2006, but they will comeback.

We want to speak about the energy that comes in on that July 4^th nexus.  It brings in relaxation and a feeling of peacefulness. Remember when you woke up in the morning and it was just a nice day and there wasn’t any great pressure that day? Well, this nexus brings back that inclination. The atmosphere lightens up. Progress feels possible again. This malaise will pass.

People will also be intellectually stimulated for the rest of the year.  The last 12 months have had a fair amount of emotionally and instinctively centered energies; about double what is normal. Random happenstance won’t seem so personal.  You are involved, but can finally allow yourself a touch of distance from your current conditions. This allows your emotional and instinctive centers a chance to finally rest.

Belief structures reside in your intellectual center, so we expect societal structures to be under massive reconstruction in the second half of the year.  We expect the gay marriage issue to be used to highlight the need to separate church and state again, for example. “What is fact?” vs. “What is just a belief?” will be debated. There will be movement toward religious groups talking more about what they have in common. One of the great gifts that comes from mature soul energy is that we see that we have different styles, but want the same results: peace, freedom and the knowledge that we are a contribution to the world around us.

As for now, there is still emotional growth ahead.  Loyal support now will never be forgotten, bonds formed during such challenging times are very deep. Friendships deepened now will be around for decades. So; connect with people you care about.

In the next six months, you will have an urge to really exercise.  The tendency will be to try to add weights to do something strenuous.  Doing some of that is fine. It will actually help you. You want to release some low frequency energy and get lighter. Weight work will help with that.  Just realize that is will be very easy to overdo or do it wrong.  Get expert help. Train with others.  Work on long term goals rather than short term gains.

After May, the emphasis will shift to examining health issues especially around the kidneys, lungs and heart.  This will be a bad flu season.  Many new viruses are not out in the wild and we don’t have vaccines for them. Some we haven’t even detected yet.  There is one group for example that works in your muscles making you feel weak, stiff, achy and making it very easy to strain a muscle.

The flu and pneumonia strains of the last year have weakened many of you.  You will want to do exercise that expands the capacity of your breathing and heart function. You will feel this summer’s inspiration energy and want to take advantage of it. As with weight training, build yourself up slowly. Many of you have lungs that have been underused and under great strain for some time now.  They can definitely improve, but it takes months of consistency to get real lasting improvement.  Be measured and kind to yourself. Let your health return naturally. Doing things with ease is part of the relaxation energy of the last half of 2009.

The flu of 2009 is unusual in that part of the germs out there come from Iraq and Afghanistan and not mainly South East Asia.  That happens a lot with wars. Ask the Aztecs and Mayans among others, about how wars bring in illnesses that another society has no defense against initially. The First World War brought the US and Europe the Swine Flu which we now call bird flu.  It is the same base strain.  That flu killed millions of people very quickly back then.  This year, one Middle Eastern virus hits the muscles harder than the lungs. Another leads quickly to pneumonia and congestive heart failure.

One easy supportive thing you can do is to get some fresh rosemary; a few sprigs at least six inches long, and simmer them slowly in a large pot of water on your stove.  Do that throughout the flu season if you want to really detoxify your space. The rosemary oil released into the air is soothing, anti-bacterial and anti-viral and works especially well against both of these viruses. It is also easy to grow, find and store.

Sage is another herb that helps with cleaning the blood barrier in your capillaries and restoring the air sacs in your lungs. Root vegetables and squashes are also very detoxifying and available organically grown.

Get some rest.  If you need six daily hours of sleep in the summer and ten in the winter, get your ten hours sleep. 2009 is less of a sprint and more of a brisk stroll with some stops to check your pulse. Take some time away from the news, play music that soothes you and light the fireplace.

While the worst of the instinctive wear is behind you, king energy does rule the instinctive center, now is a time to keep your instinctive center from fretting by entertaining it.  Try patterned activities.  That can be knitting, playing video games or playing cards, puzzles, dog-walking, yoga, outdoor skiing or scrapbooking.

Enjoy relaxing hobbies to keep your adrenaline turned off. We can see how worn out your adrenals are.  They need time to recharge.  They have done five year’s worth of process in the last twelve months.  They need a breather.

A large number of the children being born now are very calm and centered.  They were born to bring some of their stability to the planet and 30% of them are Servers.  That effect will last all their lives.  This is a big change to the mixture of roles in the US.  We will be calmer and more stable. This is intriguing.  Out of crisis comes peace.  When a country is headed toward war, more aggressive souls are born: especially male warriors.  Now we see more servers, artisans, sages, and priests who want to help people bond and connect.

On this planet, humans vary widely.  That is fairly unusual amongst sentient species. Some humans are over twice as tall or weigh twice as much as others and each is considered normal.  Coloring varies greatly as does both the amount of curve or muscle fiber on may have. You have been different shapes, sizes and colors yourself over time. You are your own United Nations. Connecting regardless of differences is a huge challenge for humans and many souls are coming to help us become less hostile and more accepting.

You will feel the shift into mature soul energy very strongly next year.  One of those lessons for mature souls is identification. That means you see everyone as just someone else who sees life from a different angle than you do. They aren’t better or worse, just not like your self, and they add to the diversity. Maybe she is a white Republican Blue Star mom on a farm in Iowa and you are a black Democrat slam poet in New York, but you both share great scrapbooking designs and accessories on the internet, so you have that in common.  You each can see each other as interesting and notice all the other things you have in common, because you have that connection.

That discovery of common connection is called illumination. That connection was always there; you just finally saw it and gave it power. People will be seeking each other out and discovering these connections rather than focusing on differences in the Mature soul world. Those differences will soon be called distinguishing characteristics and treated that way.

The weather this winter will be really cold and really wet for most of the US. California may not have a really wet winter, but it will be cold. Everywhere else, the Northwest, the Central US, the Deep South and the East and Northeast will get hit hard at times this winter.  The lake effect snow will be very, very intense in the Upper Midwest. It is survivable just very unpleasant from time to time. This helps drive the cold and flu season.

You will also be attracted to fire to balance the water energy.  Use candles, stoves, fireplaces to lighten that water energy.  Alcohol and smoking become more attractive also, use moderation to remain in balance

This will really restrict travel as it is just harder to get anywhere.  Equipment breaks down and capacity gets exceeded easily. Traffic will be worse than normal so that our politicians will re-examine how to get traffic flowing again. Funds in the coming years increase the infrastructure to prepare for population growth. Allow time to keep yourself calmed. Major traffic accidents will actually be less frequent since people will be more cautious.

We will start to build high speed rail lines in the coming decade.  Eventually rail will connect Boston to Miami and Seattle to San Diego. Washington and New York will get connected to Chicago by high speed rail as well.  That is because of a political shift wherein Chicago becomes a player in the Washington/NY ruling class.  It will take time but will happen in most of the parallels on this branch. LA eventually gets added into that triumvirate, but that is years from now.

Earthquakes and volcanoes will be fairly calm with normal activity, with the possible exception of Hawaii.  There will be a very bad fire season in summer and fall, thanks to all of this water energy now.  Hurricanes will be worse than 2008 or 2007. Florida and Texas are the main landfalls and the Carolinas may have a Category 2 hurricane.  Hawaii looks safe as far as hurricane activity, and will have some manageable earthquakes.

Questions and Answers session

Q: What about the potential for any terrorist attacks inside the United States anytime soon?

A: OK, the people from Afghanistan, Iraq, or Pakistan, are they a threat?  No.  Now domestic terrorists, however, are a different matter. There is a window of opportunity in April to possibly have an incident.  There are disgruntled people in this country and sometimes they succumb to a need to destroy something.  This could be an attack on Obama, or could entail the bombing of a hotel, business, bank, or governmental offices.  That time of year, from mid to late April, is often instinctively destructive.  The Waco incident, the Oklahoma City tragedy and other explosive events occurred near that vortex.  Any problems then would be due to that backlash nexus in April we spoke of earlier.  There is a similar backlash in October this year.

Q: Is the Secret Service onto this?

A: They have several times the number of people guarding Obama as they have guarding Bush right now.  They have a good idea of what to watch out for and do a good job picking up any signs of real danger. They knew immediately that Obama was a target and have given him a huge amount of protection since early in 2008. His whole family and Biden’s family now has protection. They are aware of threats against many family members. Normally being the relative of the President isn’t a big deal, with the exception of wives and children. But Obama is a different story, and probably will be as long as he is in office and possibly for the rest of his life.

Q: Now that Hillary wants to be Secretary of State, do you see her still going to the Supreme Court?

A: Yes, she wants to be the first female to have an important role in all three branches of government.  She wanted the job of President as her Executive job but that didn’t work out in this parallel. She is likely to be Obama’s third appointee to the court which would put two women on the Supreme Court at the same time. You can expect three women on the Court at once within 20 years. She won’t want her new job as Secretary of State for more than 6 years. She would become quite historic if she becomes a Supreme Court Justice as well, no one has ever served at such high levels in all 3 branches of government.

Q: There was a “wobble” back in February that you spoke about that lasted until the nexus in November. Is that still affecting us?

A: The wobble was what caused the planet started to lean left politically.   The US is still the dominant political force on the planet.  The last two elections before 2008 went politically to the right.  Not all parallels did, in fact less than 25%. So this parallel was due to shift left, to catch up to other parallels that elected Democratic Presidents, namely Gore and/or Kerry. 

So the strain all year to shift left created a wobble in planetary energy.  This made everyone feel unstable about what was happening and created a great amount of interest in this election. The next election won’t be nearly as intense.

The turn left was 50 degrees, a huge shift.  Let us give you some reference points.  Going along straight ahead is 0 degrees of turn.  Having a cataclysmic earthquake, an ice age, a tsunami can create 90 degrees of turn. This shift was more than half way towards that.  Many laws and societal mores will be changed because of this election. Not everyone on the planet will like this because it creates an enormous amount of change.  We have many students who are concerned about the amount and speed of the changes coming. They want to be sure we proceed calmly and with deliberate intent. There are many reasonable people out in the US who feel the same way.

So, where we are now is traveling along that branch of universes that turned 50 degrees left.  That amount of turn causes tremendous strain.  Imagine taking a long section of rose stem and bending it.  In the middle of that stem, there would be significant pressure on the cells in that stem.  There would be strain all along the rose stem but peaking in the middle.  The middle of our strain or torque here in this parallel was during that November nexus. Your instinctive center felt like it was in a tight turn making you feel frozen in place. The election is over now and the pressure is lessening but the shift is done.

Now due to this intensity, everyone wants Obama to be Kennedy, FDR and Lincoln all at once and he isn’t even sworn in yet. We have been asked if he is the reincarnated soul of all three of those people already and in many ways, he will pick up each of their legacies and work with them. We have been asked if he is the infinite soul and the anti-Christ.  That is quite a lot to live up to: Kennedy, FDR, Lincoln, Jesus and Satan. That is a high set of expectations.

Q: It seems like the Bush family and everybody around him is leaving office with impeachment off the table.  Is anyone going to get jailed for illegalities that occurred while he was in office?

A: No, a few minor characters perhaps.  Bush will pardon anyone he sees is at risk before he leaves office and will say they did nothing illegal. Obama will affirm that torture is illegal and messing with the Justice dept. is illegal, but he wants to move ahead and can’t rescind Bush’s pardons even if he wanted to. Gonzales, Rove, and Libby all walk away with some karma they get to pay back later. Obama has to unwind many of the late term regulations that Bush is passing. He will order the closure of Guantanamo Bay and limit the impact of signing statements. Bush used more signing statements than any other President by far. 

Q: Speak to us about Pluto moving into Capricorn for 14 years and what that means. It feels like a relief to me.

A: Well, it depends on who you are. Capricorn rules corporations so expect to see more destruction and reconstruction among corporations.  Who would have thought two years ago that Lehman Brothers, Mervyns, Circuit City and so many others would be gone?  . Remaining companies will rebuild and come back stronger.   Wal-Mart will do extremely well, but companies who depend on Christmas to be in the black for the year will experience a very slow shopping season this year. Companies you know like Ann Taylor, Crate and Barrel, Lane Bryant and even Best Buy, will suffer quite a bit, and we expect to see them go bankrupt in many parallels.

Another effect from Pluto in Capricorn will be a drive towards more accountability with actual results.  Sagittarius is more idealistic that Capricorn, more hopeful.  So we tended to hear what we wanted to hear for the past fourteen years or so. That idealism stops and we get to deal with the hard realities that Capricorn forces into the limelight. Denial doesn’t work in Capricorn. Expect more shareholders on corporate boards and far more transparency and communication from this energy. Ruthless honesty comes from this shift.

Q: Will we see any talk about cycles of products and sustainability in products coming from businesses?

A: Oh, that is such a Mature Soul thing to do! The Young Soul way, around for several thousand years now, has been the pyramid approach; onward and upward always, onward and up. You do that until you collapse and someone takes your place. You are changing perspectives about what a corporation is, so expect to see a whole new way to judge and evaluate what success means. These shifts will be quite dramatic over the next 20 years.  One goal will be watching for economic downturns and letting them happen rather than postponing them until there is no way to stop a catastrophe.

America has so many white collar workers that are disenfranchised.  They have absolutely no rights in the workplace; 60 million people could be fired tomorrow and nothing could be done about it legally. This energy shift promotes an Obama agenda item of getting more rights to these workers.  These rights will be signed into in law rather than negotiated between labor and leadership. The changes come in health care benefits and pensions at first.  Many people now are “downsized” at age 50 to avoid paying huge pensions and benefits later.  That will become not only illegal in a few years, but culturally unacceptable as well. These changes start in the spring of 2009.

Obama has an 8 year plan. As a former basketball player, he sees his Presidency as four two-year quarters, with an election at halftime. He will get re-elected in most parallels. This workers’ rights issue comes up for him in the second quarter, two years from now.  He has to restore and restart so much in the first 2 years that big progress forward starts in 2011.

Q: Can you talk about debt. Specifically, is this Credit Crisis going to have an impact on the average person and how they might be able to get out of debt?

A: Oh, absolutely.  We expect to see a restructuring of the entire banking system, the elimination of credit default swaps; as well as disclosure about the nature of mortgage debt when sold as a security. You will see the emergence of a credit risk score for income.  Right now, people won’t lend money because they think they will never see that money again. Enough people have been burned that everyone knows someone who has been hit. Return on Investment percentages become meaningless.  That needs to be addressed or we will have an even bigger depression than we do now. Lenders are concerned about principle risk, not credit risk. When that fear releases money back in to circulation, the economy will rebound.

Q: You mentioned the Young Soul model and the Mature Soul model, what does the Old Soul business model look like?

A: Well, there really isn’t one. Old souls are born ready to retire anyway. They want to fit into a system that already works. They let the younger souls run the show and will, even many years from no

What Old Souls do pay attention to is everyone having a balanced life. Do we have enough vacation and benefits and jobs to keep everyone healthy? Are there enough food, clothing and homes for everyone?  Old souls want to work 4 or 5 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week and work when it makes sense for them. They are balance restorers rather than instigators.

Q: Earlier this evening we heard some disparaging remarks about the instinctive center.  Isn’t instinctive review the best time for learning from a Michael system point of view?

 
A: We have been trying to emphasize that tonight.  The most spiritual growth comes from instinctive centered lessons, and the greatest personal growth comes from instinctive centered lessons. You come to the physical plane to get these lessons. You don’t get them astrally. You arrive on this planet and are presented with challenges to overcome.  Life is like a video game.  You begin with some talents and capabilities and have some fun, accomplish some things, overcome some challenges, and then you die. Then you get a new life, start over and go further.  The physical plane is like a video game also in that you never really die. You just come back to work on more challenges. Video games really were created from our instinctive knowledge of reincarnation.  That is why they are so uniformly popular.  Some games have war or races against the clock, others use more fantasy or imagination, some games are intellectually or artistically challenging, just like real life. 

Q: How long will it take to get rid of the Electoral College?

A: At least 25 years and probably longer than that. We will see a romantic view of the Constitution return under Obama. It will take many years to convince small and currently important swing states in the process like Iowa, New Hampshire, and Indiana and so on to let the Electoral College go.

There are great reasons to discontinue it. It would be harder to rig a general election without it.  Direct voting represents the whole people and every vote does count that way; and someday you will have electronic voting over the internet. But that requires more oversight technology than is currently available.  There isn’t a failsafe way to protect your vote. The technology will be adequate in less than 20 years.  But you also need time for people to adjust to changing what they’re used to using.

Q: Are you going to do advice by role as you have done in the past?

A: No, we aren’t.  This energy is so transforming that we are just all in it together.  The impacts are so huge that the macro trends really matter the most. That is true for overleaves as well.  You will see Servers become more prominent and extroverted, but other than that, no.

Q: Why are Kings mentioned so much with the instinctive center?

A: Kings rule that center. Each role represents and rules one of your seven centers: Artisan-higher moving, Warrior-moving, Server-emotional, Sage-intellectual, Scholars-higher intellectual, and Priests-higher emotional. Why is the instinctive center ruled by Kings? It is so powerful. The instinctive center holds the master plan of your life.  It remembers all of your karmas and agreements.  It stores the memory of every life you have ever had.

Q: What about changes in technology, what do you see there?

A: We are in this 84 year cycle, based (for you Astrologers), on the Uranian orbit.  We are in the second quartile of that orbit. It lasts 21 years. The emphasis in this quartile is not invention, but making technology more useable for people. Many really great inventions are already created.  PCs are here, the internet. We just expect them to be more useful and interconnected. Inter-operability is a great field to be in.  We expect a lot more innovation in technology to happen in 2010.

Q: Will Washington bail out the car companies?

A: Bush will before December is out.  He will give the auto industry $15 billion or so to kick the can down the road for Obama to fix.

Q: What is going to happen to our modes of transportation likes airlines and mass transit in all this?

A: Airlines have been really hard hit, especially the long haul carriers. You all know fuel prices will go back up. Until the come up with alternate, inexpensive fuel, the great days of airline luxury are gone.

Because of that, people will want alternatives: High Speed Rail, high speed radar-controlled cars, expansion of BART and other mass transit systems, and better connections between systems. That is a national trend.  We see mass transit eventually getting a lot of funding, more so than highway construction. Mass transit is a Mature Soul delight. Just look at Europe, they are a few decades ahead of the US in this area.

Q: Can you talk about the contribution Michelle Obama is going to make?

A: She is a practical, stable woman. She doesn’t want to be a co-President like Hillary did with Bill. She wants to be support for Barack and continue her own career as well.  She doesn’t want to take charge of anything. Her natural tendency is to take care of kids.  She recognizes that there are all kinds of disadvantaged kids in America and programs need to be expanded to aid those kids and their families. She could just do that for 8 years. She is a community organizer by nature.

We should give everyone the Obama’s casting.  They are on energy ring 9375, Cadre 1, entity 1.  They are both on the Truth side in the Server block. Obama has the Global Job of Welcome # 39, with a Community Responsibility of Equality. Michelle is right above him one row in # 32. She has the Global Job of Partnership with Concentration as her Community Responsibility. That makes her the one made of stern stuff inside the family, which allows Barack to relax and be human. You can see that impact on her husband. She keeps him real. She uses realism to keep his idealism in check. She can be a tremendous First Lady.  She will become quite a role model.

Q: I work around 30 people and I am trying to support the space for all of them.  But almost all of them are off work on disability or are sick or have quit.  Are they all going to be alright and what can I do to help them?

A: First, they will all be just fine in the long run.  But this addresses a bigger issue than the economy around you and that company.  The government just announced that America is in a recession. We disagree, you are in a depression. You were in a recession for a couple of years, but the reason you are so tired and worn is due to the large percentage of people suffering from economic hardship.   How do we know you are in a depression?  Well, conditions resemble the 1920’s but in a modern version. Back then the stated rate of unemployment was 25%, and we the stated rate right now is about 6 to 7%. But that number doesn’t count all of the people who gave up looking for work, or all of the people who cannot get enough work to actually cover living expenses. It doesn’t count women who aren’t “head of household”, people over 65 or under 21 who need to work to eat or pay rent. It doesn’t count anyone with a disability who can and wants to work at a job they are capable of. Once you look at reality, you will see that the true percentage of unemployed is plenty high enough to qualify as a depression. Everyone just needs to exhale right now. The worst is behind you

Obama will get people back into houses. That is a 1930’s type of strategy. Banks and the government cannot do anything with the repossessed houses they have. They need to get people living in them. That shift alone will calm the country. Edward R. Murrow said, “The slightly obscured we see right away, the painfully obvious takes us awhile.” Greed caused this crisis, on many fronts, from banking to housing to the stock market to the war and so on.  Now the nation gets to work with the flip side of Greed which is Self-Destruction. 

Q: What about China, you haven’t talked about that.

A: How about we discuss China and we throw in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and so on? In the next 10 years, the amount of people who attain a first-world class of living is going to double. Gas is going back to $3 a gallon in a few years when demand returns with a vengeance in 2010.

Let’s show you the big picture using the cell phone as a symbol for technological advancement in a culture…it is a good indicator of lifestyle. The Chinese have 300 million cell phone users now and they alone will add another 300 million in 5 years.  That means they will have twice as many cell phone users as there are people in the US. Throw in another 300 million from Pakistan and India.  Africa will add 50 million people, Southeast Asia will add 30 million, and South America will add 50 million more as well. Then think in terms of additional cars, TV’s, computers, refrigerators, etc. More people will obtain first-world status than at any time in history within one decade. The Chinese will hold most of the US debt, which will push them into a democratic process they cannot control, although they will try.

Obama comes from energy ring 9375. Many of those people are leaders in China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and the surrounding area. Expect a lot of attention in that area for Obama.  Asia will develop into the largest market in the world while Obama is President, as it becomes home to more than half the population in the world. Chinese will hold 25% of the world’s population and another 25% will be Pakistani or Indian. The rest of the planet will be home to the other half of humanity.

The days of the US being the dominant economic power in the world are fading fast. This rise and fall of empire happened to England, Spain, Austria, Rome, the Mongols, the Aztecs, the Sumerians, the Egyptians, and many more. That happens to every Young Soul civilization. 

Q: Are we going to reverse our agriculture policies soon, like irradiating everything from fruit to almonds to meat? 

A: The Mature Soul people who are stepping in to run things are very aware of what is going on right now. They want to end irradiated food. They want to stop people dying from food. People didn’t die from peanuts 50 years ago.  You went to school and ate it all the time and so did your friends. It was cheap protein and easy to use.  Well, it has been over-hybridized and now it makes millions of people sick.  So much so, that almost every food label tells you if the product came near peanuts while it was being made.

That will take years and years to undo. But it can start now.  Wheat is the same problem.  More than half the people in the US are overly-sensitive to wheat.  That wheat causes depression, edema and belly fat.  If you have a roll around your middle, dump breads and wheat grains and watch it come off. The new wheat strains are toxic to your liver as well.

Corn, especially high-fructose corn syrup, is another big problem, causing heart disease and diabetes.  Artificial fats and sweeteners are still out there, and we have been saying how bad they are for your DNA, your brain and your reproductive systems for over 20 years now. Your body doesn’t know what to do with them. Americans will eventually reverse all this, but it won’t happen in10 years, it will take the rest of this century.

Q: What about anti-gravity trains technology for transportation diversity?

A: The technology isn’t there yet. In 40 or 50 years, CERN in Europe will probably be the first to figure it out.  Europe is building maglev trains now and they work very nicely.  Anti-gravity is trickier.  The prospect of annihilation makes people nervous.
