January 2008 Monthly Forecast

Summary of the Month

We all want the new clarity, peace and balance that we get from fine-tuning our parallel universe experiences every 21 years. We began the process of reviewing and reintegrating our subconscious knowledge through our first chakras back in October; and left November honoring our second chakra, which supports creativity, spirituality, sexuality and the higher aspects of romance. We have now begun to reopen these qualities that many felt cut off from earlier in the year. December saw the integration of the higher moving, moving and emotional center. Did you sense how right before Christmas, the energy shifted to that of acceptance and feeling? The energy is more stable in January.

This is a month for intellectual pursuits, especially planning. The month leaps into the 5^th chakra right away, the chakra ruled by the intellectual center. You will be drawing out your goals and tactics for the year, almost everyone will want to finish that by the 15^th. On that date, we have a nexus and we shift towards integrating your plans with the plans of others. This is the movement into the 6^th chakra. Expect to consult mentors and if you are old or wise enough, to be consulted as well. The month ends with the energy shifting into the 7^th chakra, the higher emotional center.

January Focal Points

The month really starts on the 2^nd, when the planetary grid sends energy to the 5^th chakra, the Intellectual center. January, except for the last 2 days, will be all about planning. There are also three nexi this month, one on the 4^th, one on the 15^th and one on the 30^th. We expect many nexi this year which we will cover during the State of the Planet address on January 4th. You will get a copy of that in 2 weeks.

On the 2nd, you will begin thinking about the direction of your life. What is it that you will be doing in 2008? Now, this will end up in large part becoming the general direction of your next 20 years or so. So choices made this year, starting with the planning on January 2008, will have a huge impact on everyone. This is a year where what you intend makes a tremendous difference.

Since we are at the beginning of a 21 year cycle, one could expect that many, many parts of our life will be up for review and change. That is certainly the case now. So much so, that many of you will feel consumed by Artisan energy until at least the 15^th. You will be processing not only your normal existence, but thinking about what you want your job to be like, your home to be like, your family to be like and so on. Many of you will be looking at 5 or more major areas of your life that you want to change. Your mind will race back and forth between them, never focusing on any one area for too long.

That will cause many of us to act like introverts or even be withdrawn this month. We just won’t have the energy to make decisions or tap into your feelings too deeply and still be social. Your instinctive center is still active. There is no way it could not be after what happened between July and November. It will be June for most people before enough choices have been made and paths started, so that the instinctive center can progress into stability. So your instinctive center is still right below the surface. Most of you won’t start making progress on any major choices until late February.

So expect to feel distance from others. Expect that you may want to retreat just a bit and consider fully what you are all about. All you are doing is planning. These decisions you are making can be re-arranged, changed or ignored later, as life unfolds. But you will make plans consciously or unconsciously now. Your instinctive center will force you to do that. Planning is a form of action; it is intellectual action.

Not only will you be considering big picture items, new jobs, families, houses and so on; you will also be considering minute changes. What happens if I wake up 10 minutes sooner, what does that do? What if we only shop on weekends? That is because, as you consider the big items, you are forced to become flexible on your daily activities.

An example would be moving to a new state. When you get there, you unload and set up your belongings in the new space. Now when do I get up, when do I leave work, which ways can I drive to get there, where do I shop, how do the kids get to school?

Many of you will be considering massive lifestyle changes. This impacts what you do down to the very core of you, from when your eyes pop open, to when they close shut at night. Your instinctive center will want some answers. You will consider many courses of action; not taking them, just considering. Your mind will be much energized. It hasn’t been intellectually centered since September, so your brain is aching to get into the game of life. It has calmly sat on the sidelines, watching the instinctive, moving and emotional centers go through all sorts of changes and stress. It has wanted to help but the energy to do that just wasn’t out there.

It looks like Capricorns and those with Aquarius sun signs will be the first to act. They normally are used to taking a huge leap forward each winter as this is their birthday season. Their first changes will take place no later than the first part of March. The change or changes will be large.

So by the 15^th, you will want to have something written down that describes the skeleton of an overall plan for yourself. I want to live here, with these people, doing this work or going to this school and so on. Not sure when, not sure how exactly, just generally, directionally correct.

Imagine you buy a new house. The developer puts in the front garden and you get to landscape the back yard. You decide roses go along the west fence line and annuals go along the back fence, with grass in the center except for a gazebo on the east side. Now the patio will be here and a barbeque goes over there. You like it, it is a good outline. You didn’t decide how many rose bushes or annuals to plant. You aren’t sure how many square feet of sod you need or what sprinkler heads you want. Is the gazebo redwood or painted? Do I want brick or cement for the patio? Who knows?

You start on that fine-tune planning on the 15^th. You will be consulting with expects to really fine tune your plans as well as to combine your plans with those of others who impact your life. If you have a spouse or roommate, it makes sense to ask them what they see; as they too, on their own, away from you, are working on their plans. If you have other family members, they too will have a plan outline. Then all of you will want to ask experts, lawyers, life coaches, landscapers, personal trainers and so on for advice on the details.

That is the energy of the second half of January, connecting and detailing out your outlines. You will need mentors. These people are intellectual types or will be giving you intellectual counsel. Because of the higher intellectual emphasis of January, there will be more articles on faith, religion, Darwinism, creationism, philosophy and atheism.

Nexus

The first nexus is on the 4^th. It creates awareness. You will need to open yourself up. You will be facing new plans. You will want new outcomes. So today, you will decide that you need to expand your tool set beyond what you have used in the past. “Well, I never considered a chiropractor before but my back hurts and maybe they can help.” You won’t necessarily decide on what your new schools of thought and choice will end up being. You just want to realize what you need to consider anything that can work for you and with you to reach your goals of 2008 and beyond.

The nexus on the 15^th is the shift from us towards “How do I fit into the environment?” You will want to check in with your lifestyle. You will really get into observation and enjoy scanning your landscape with brand new vision. There will be a sense of submission to it as well. You will have an outline of what you want, know to ask around to really get the details. To do that, you have to believe in your outline. That is where submission comes in; you commit to get the facts, wherever they may lead you.

The last nexus is on the 30^th. This is a subtle shift to a more spiritual perspective. Your emotions will be stimulated. You will feel joy and fear and get really excited about shifts that you are contemplating. This will create a subconscious chakra check. You will instinctively start with the 6^th chakra and work your way down to the first chakra, looking at all the issues and plans that have surfaced since October. Your subconscious will do that by filling you with emotion: wherever there is sadness you have work to do there. This is perfect; you want to check a boat for leaks before you take it out on the water. You will spend the end of January and early February aligning and spiritually preparing yourself for the rest of the year.

Issues and Archetypes this month

Stones, Crystals and Colors

Blues are the most useful colors early this month. The first half of the month is dominated by blues, from a nice cheery light blue, to true, bright blue to traditional ocean blue. Take several of these hues and use them to calm your emotional and instinctive centers as the month progresses. They are safe but they allow us to look at the new. They give us permission to tap into the male energy that we will be using this month to be more precise and directive.

The second most useful color is a fuchsia red. It has a bit of pink and purple in it and is very bright. This is a passionate color that allows us to infuse emotional stability as we stretch ourselves this month.

After the nexus on the 15th, the colors change to a simple brown and a squirrel or granite gray. The brown is a color of service and submission. The gray is for strength and wisdom.

The stones for the month are blue Sapphire, Fluorite, Howlite, Clear Quartz and Laramar. Blue Sapphire has strong creative energy to it. It brings tremendous power and clarity, as well as balance to the tender artistic soul. Fluorite is excellent for clearing cording, muddy energy, and the chakras. It would be especially helpful on the nexus on the 30^th. There are many colors of Fluorite, just pick the one that jumps out at you. The size of the stone is not critical.

Howlite is a nice, less expensive substitute if you don’t have Blue Sapphire and has great creative energy and balance to it. Clear quartz will help, especially later in the month with Observation. Use as clear a stone as you can find. Size isn’t all that critical, clarity is. Last is Laramar. It will help keep the emotional and instinctive centers balanced while using so much intellectual energy this month. It is an excellent stress reducer and allows you to realize that the stress is temporary and great love is underneath it. Have some around, especially at the very end of the month.

Lastly, this would be a great month to clean all of your stones. Just pop them into the freezer overnight. They carry the energy of the last few months and most will be exhausted by now. Clean them up and the stress of the last few months that they carry will vanish.

Politics

Wow, did December shake things up! As we channel this, Mike Huckabee is the front runner on the Republican side, moving from 5^th to first in 10 days. Why? Because he declared himself early, took positions and held firm. Once he got the lead, he put out masterful Christmas advertising and froze everyone else out. He used his emotional center to define what the Republicans, especially the evangelicals wanted. Romney now appears to be likelier as a VP candidate, even with the Intellectual energy of January. Giuliani still has not declared his intentions beyond being firm on terrorism. The campaign is more sophisticated than that now and he has temporarily fallen back. McCain may last awhile, given his stubbornness; but he too is not really a leading contender any longer. Giuliani is a master manipulator King and in bed with the masterminds of the present regime. Do not make the mistake of counting him out.

On the Democratic side, Hillary will eventually win the most parallels, but is followed by Obama as a close second. Edwards may still be in the running (at least as a member of the new regime) as he has well-considered plans for a new democratic perspective. He and Hillary have something else, along with Huckabee. That is experience. As we go into the second half of the month, the energy will demand that we have masters and mentors out front. People’s experience will count the most. People that have worked with three branches of government will do better than others. Obama has good ideas, but where has he used those ideas? That is what the energy of January will seek to answer.

The campaign will get to the big states and we will generally know who is going to win after Super Tuesday, by the end of February. No one may actually have all of the delegates they need, but the momentum will be such that they probably cannot lose.

We see this as 40% Huckabee, 30% Giuliani, 20% Romney and 10% McCain on the Republican side. On the Democratic side it is 45% Clinton, 40 % Obama and 15% Edwards with the real potential that Edwards and Obama could still mix it up, especially with the Bhutto assassination. This is of January 1^st and will shift as parallels get created in 2008.

What can change all of this? Well, Giuliani is a King, and Kings can make deals better than any other role. He could decide early to pair up with someone like Romney or McCain to proceed. The name of the game for now is stopping Huckabee. Huckabee will dominate the evangelical vote and win most of the states in the center of the country. Who can take some of the central states and command the coasts? Those thoughts will be going through the minds of Romney and Giuliani, who are both Kings. Giuliani will likely win that stare down, because he is moving centered, intellectual part; so he can be ruthless if he needs to be. But the strength of the evangelical vote is enormous; these machinations should be exciting.

On the Democratic side; the strongest agenda is to take the White House. Hillary has more money and, especially, structure. Bill knows how to win tight national campaigns and Hillary has been there. They are essence twins and a powerful force used to working together. As we channeled back when Bill was governor of Arkansas, they have agreements as essence twins to each serve as president, with the other helping them to achieve it. There will be a sizeable amount of parallels (at least 40%) where Hillary becomes president simply because it is her part of a partially fulfilled karma with Bill. Also, Bhutto’s assassination actually helps Hillary to be seen as potentially the leading female politician on the planet. Obama must worry about coming up short on details, not an uncommon dilemma for a Priest. Edwards will have detailed plans and keep beating the drum that says he has been there and has experience which can detract from Obama’s race with Clinton.

Animals

The animals we focus on this month are the birds. They represent the Intellectual center and our observational skills. They also represent the freedom to choose your own path. When you are using your 5^th and 6^th chakra, you tend to look up and you will therefore notice birds more often than usual, especially seeing how birds just don’t have some of the constrictions that other animals do.

The emphasis will not be on pets or wild animals this month, except for attention to rescue organizations. There is an obvious need for them that is intellectually easy to support.

The second focus for the month is the examination of animals for sentience. Sentience is usually defined by the question: “Can I (the animal) contemplate my existence?” Many animals are at the border-line of sentience now. Scientific studies will notice that some apes and parrots seem to be close. They can teach their young, they use tools; can they examine and contemplate? This subject is in the news this month.

Weather and Travel

Electrical systems will be the problem; not only the power systems, but the computers that power software. Expect these systems to suffer in the cold and the stress of the intellectual focus this month. This is especially true later in the month, when Mercury goes retrograde. Take some time to back up your data, make copies of really important travel plans, copy your electronic mail and addresses to paper and carry them. You will want a copy of the map when your IPhone cannot link to Google Maps while you are driving.

Treat all of the electrical systems in your car, office, and home to some restorative work. The roads and airports will generally work as the weather will just be really cold. We only see short-term, localized weather issues, not massive 9 state wide blizzards that stop everything for a week. But it may be so cold, your car battery finally dies and despite clear roads, you cannot go anywhere.

In the Southern Hemisphere, it will be extra hot and muggy, with air conditioning systems being the challenge. Check your components, back up your data and make copies that you carry with you. It will be a real comfort if you get stuck out in the elements.

By the way, this is very important for older cars and systems. People who have new hybrid cars or computers are very aware and have intent around the status of their components. If you haven’t backed things up in a year, you may lose your data and that will be frustrating as it will be a lot of work to reproduce and hard to find.

Health and Exercise

Your heart and your brain need the most attention this month. That is for two reasons. First, they are the two most important organs in your body. Your instinctive center will be checking them constantly. It knows how important they are. Given the excited state your instinctive center is still in, it wants to make sure these two organs are in tip-top shape.

Second is that both the heart and brain run on electrical connections. It is a very primal linkage. Given how long it has been since really heavy Intellectually Centered focus has been needed, your brain has been out of the loop. Now this month, it gets a major test. If you have issues in either area and haven’t seen a doctor in awhile, see a doctor to make sure you know where you stand. You will be undergoing lots of growth this year, creating and deciding. Make sure the old ticker and noggin are up to snuff.

Expect to see lots of scientific research activity this month. There will be several new announcements around brain chemistry breakthroughs and brain function in the next few months. If you have an electric device inside you, such as a pacemaker, get it checked if it is at all near time to do so.

There will be more brain and heart illness this month, no way to avoid it. Many people will not pay attention to their health and are ready for a major challenge or life completion. Strokes, high blood pressure attacks, heart attacks and so will happen. If you have a chance to get a tune-up from some form of energy healer, from chiropractor to acupuncture to Reiki to Energy Flow, do so. It could literally prevent early death or disability and helps you prepare for the growth of 2008.

Love and Relationships

It is going to be more difficult than usual to form new relationships this month. People will want the status quo and that may be challenged. Early in the month, people will appear to be distancing themselves in order to do their planning exercises. They will want space in order to figure out what their new plan is.

Since the instinctive center knows that means change, it will feel threatened, it will sense a lack of emotional security and that will be disturbing. People will drop out of conversations. It may be very easy to suspect the worst when it is not there. You have to trust that your higher self will pick the right path and that the distance this month is just there in order to be intellectually clear and develop new intentions for the year.

It will be easier to end relationships than start relationships. It is just not a month to find great sex or the love of your life, not yet, unless you have a particularly scheduled karma. Instead, the observation will feel like a pullback. So remember; everyone you love still cares. You all just need more space than normal this month.

Business and Money

The month of December went as we predicted, it was a weak retail month with some retailers actually losing money. Businesses will be scaling back their plans in January. There is just too much economic, real estate and political uncertainty.

Now that does seem to fit with the expansive planning energy of individuals. Unless you consider that businesses are really composites of individuals. Plans at that macrocosmic level take longer to shift than plans at a family level.

The first brightening will be some sort of real estate bailout, larger than we have so far, that will be in place by either March or April. The politics of it are too large to ignore. So expect the price bottom in real estate about March. It will take until 2009 to recover the losses.

The one area that will do well is advisory or consulting type occupations. They should really have a great second half of January and that should extend into February. The rest of the businesses will drift towards fundamentals in the short term with an emphasis towards serious long range planning.

Impact on Roles or Overleaves

January will be an interesting month. How the energy will affect you is best represented by looking at your attitude this month. We will look at them as the Expressive pair, the Inspirational pair, the Action pair and the neutral Attitude.

Spiritualist and Stoic

The Spiritualists you know will have a really good month. They want to get the big picture figured out. Where am I headed? Do I need a new car, a new job, what does that job search entail? This is perfect for the first half of the month. If you are stuck on getting the big picture looked at, find a Spiritualist and ask them.

The Stoic will enjoy the second half of the month more. They love looking at step by step processes and working them all out. I need a deck, says the Stoic. That means 400 feet of lumber, 21 footings, and 16 pounds of galvanized screws. No reason to start until May but we need it done before Memorial Day, this looks like a 4 day job, wonder who can I line up to help me?

The difference is that your Spiritualist may end up redesigning the whole backyard and leave the details to someone else, the Stoic wants to take a few projects and really do them right, no surprises, all nice and tidy. But both will develop plans, probably far more plans than any other attitude pair.

Idealist and Skeptic

The Idealists and Skeptics around you will be seeking a balance this month. The Idealists will be toning down their optimism a bit and trying to look at what can really get done, less pie in the sky, let’s get down to brass tacks and figure things out. They really will look like Realists this month, not being overly negative or overly positive.

Your Skeptic, too, will be seeking balance. They will want to change some things now. Take some time to acknowledge your Skeptic. That will help the Skeptic take action towards new goals and plans. Expect the Skeptics and the Idealists to look at the moving part of the Intellectual center and activate some plans. More than any other pair, they will appear to be almost identical in word and deed by month-end.

Realist and Cynic

The Realists will make plans that have the most applicability and they will act immediately. They will want to just get things started now. They may see the need to fix their health, so by the 4^th; they will be making calls to get appointments. They want action in January. They really aren’t so concerned about the long and medium term. What happens to them in June is for June to figure out. They need help on this issue, so why wait, it won’t improve by staring at it.

The Cynics will be action oriented too. While they will acknowledge that things could be worse, after all, it can always be worse and likely will be, says the Cynic, why not act now to stop the slide into chaos? Let’s pick one or two things and take some small steps to stem the flow. Or maybe just pick one thing and make a shift. Your Cynic can get paralyzed from time to time, griping rather than dealing. Not this month, they will do some things to improve their lot and that of those around them.

Pragmatist

The Pragmatists will hang back this month. Pragmatists are great decision makers normally. They are also the assimilation attitude. What that means is that they have looked at all the angles ahead of time, figuring out the pros and cons on an issue. Then when the issue is presented to them, they act right away, because they had developed a matrix to deal with it.

But the rules for the last 21 years have changed for the Pragmatist. What worked in 2004 or 1994 doesn’t work anymore. It is time now to look at new plans and gather new data, not make decisions. So I need a new job, and what I’ve always done or what I always thought I wanted to do, just doesn’t seem to fit me. Where do I go?

Pragmatists will be doing soul-searching early in the month. After mid-month, they, more than any other attitude, will be trying to tap into expert resources. They need to. They are like Scholars this month; they need data to make decisions, lots of it. The Universe, along with their Higher Selves, made most of the data they used for decisions obsolete. So they want information that helps them deal with those new realities.
